Job Description and Requirements
The IRA Specialist needs to be a dependable member of the IRA team to provide quality assistance to existing and future IRA owners by phone, email, secure messaging and branch video conferencing. An IRA Specialist will process a variety of specialized IRA transactions and inquiries in accordance with policies, procedure and regulatory laws to IRAs. Conducts all job responsibilities in a manner intended to follow the RBFCU Mission Statement to better our members economic well-being and quality of life.
This position is for our ASC location, (main campus) located at: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, TX 78233. The IRA Specialist will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule after the successful completion of training. The training period can vary and will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center – Live Oak, Texas.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist our members, non-members and colleagues in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner.
Provide assistance for Traditional, Roth, SEP and Inherited IRA transactions to include account opening, closing, contributions, distributions, incoming or outgoing rollovers and transfers and IRA tax form concerns through a variety of communication methods.
Comply with applicable regulatory laws pertaining to IRAs as well as RBFCU.
Recommend products and services to members that will benefit their quality of life or economic well-being.
Work independently and utilize resources necessary to perform tasks accurately, efficiently and to completion.
Use cognitive thinking skills to identify trends and suggest process improvement opportunities to immediate supervisors.
Teamwork, dependability and dedication is required to develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and management.
Maintain knowledge of the RBFCU member handbook and Policy and Procedure.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, or Associates Degree in lieu of minimum year job related work experience
Less than one year of job related work experience
Must be able/willing to commute to work location at: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, TX 78233
Proficient in typing, utilizing a laptop, installed software and other general office equipment
Imperative to have good communication skills for interaction with colleagues and members
Excellent attendance and promptness is required
The potential of a hybrid schedule requires individual to be self sufficient in utilizing resources to assist members, excellent time management skills and focus on completing daily work accurately and timely
Primary software used is the DNA IRA Platform, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Avaya Video Conferencing, Avaya Agent, Right Fax, Office Scanners, DNA Activity, DocuSign and OnBase imaging system when onsite. Office in a box set-up when working remotely to access all of the same applications
