Jardeg is recruiting Journeyperson Ironworkers to join the SUNCOR Firebag maintenance team for a project on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. Shift Rotation is straight through 12 hrs/day starting September 03rd until September 26th. Camp accommodations and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) provided by the company.
Required safety tickets and certain weld test costs will be covered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  • Energy Safety Canada Elevated Work Platform
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
  • Overhead Crane
  • Basic Rigging
Responsibilities
  • Erect and Install scaffolding, construction cranes, derricks and other hoisting equipment.
  • Assemble rigging (cables, pulleys, hooks) to move heavy equipment and materials. Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures
  • Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.
