Position: Analyst – Mid (Irregular Warfare) Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Irregular Warfare Analyst to support a government contract with the Defense Security and Cooperation Agency (DSCA) and the new Irregular Warfare Center (IWC). The Irregular Warfare Analyst will serve as a key member of a joint government and contract team, conducting comprehensive all-source intelligence research and analysis. The analyst will produce a range of intelligence products focused on global insurgencies—supporting policymakers, planners, and operational forces by enhancing understanding of how irregular threats are organized, equipped, sustained, and employed. The role requires demonstrated knowledge of Irregular Warfare (IW), Gray Zone activities, a functional understanding of the policy process, familiarity with Washington, D.C. diplomatic and military organizations and culture, and the ability to interact effectively with senior foreign representatives. Responsibilities: Conduct all-source intelligence analysis in support of complex, high-priority strategic missions. Identify intelligence gaps, evaluate collected information, and produce insightful, value-added assessments. Apply analytic tradecraft to explore emerging threats, anomalies, and trends impacting operational capabilities. Anticipate customer requirements and recommend future intelligence products. Collaborate with multi-discipline Operations/Intelligence teams and maintain awareness of broader DoD, interagency, and coalition partner efforts. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in intelligence or defense-related analysis; seven (7) years preferred. Demonstrated ability to synthesize raw information into actionable intelligence and develop clear, concise written products. Background: Must have prior military, government, or Irregular Warfare (IW) experience. Advanced understanding of U.S. policy processes, and familiarity with Washington, D.C. diplomatic and military organizations and culture. Proven ability to interact effectively with senior military, civilian, and foreign representatives. Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret (TS) clearance preferred and must be current. Preferred Experience Prior experience supporting Special Operations, Defense Policy, or Security Cooperation organizations. Proven ability to brief and collaborate with senior military and civilian officials. Experience working with interagency or international partners. Location: This position is remote. Preferably located within one hour of the National Capital Region (NCR). Compensation & Benefits Compensation varies based on factors such as location, experience, and skill set. For positions based in California, Colorado, D.C., Maryland, New York, or Washington, the salary range is $70,000 – $95,000 (if annualized).
