The right individual will have experience in WeatherTrak and commercial irrigation experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to carry 30-50 pounds (bags of fertilizer, mulch, etc.) without assistance
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend over, trench, dig, crouch twist, reach, lift, and kneel regularly
  • Ability to work outdoors in various temperatures & rain for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to withstand exposure to the sun.
  • Superb work attendance to ensure the garden receives the care it needs
  • Can communicate effectively with supervisors
  • Must report to work and wear proper protective footwear, PPE, and company uniform
  • Reliable daily transportation
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems
  • Conduct and record detailed inspections and plans; execute upgrades of systems
  • Locate and repair breaks in main lines
  • Monitoring and testing new installations, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, and evaluate start-ups, winterization and overall operation of the irrigation system.
  • Conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems.
  • Perform water management practices by keeping water usage under budget
  • Diagnose problems associated with pressure or design related issues, programs, replaces, and wires valves correctly
  • Install and/or program irrigation controllers, sprinkler retrofits, backflow preventers, remote control valves, mainline line pipe, lateral line pipe, sprinkler heads, moisture sensors, and other related devices associated with an irrigation system
  • Maintain parts inventory on vehicle, completes irrigation reports and service requests, and remain available for “on call” emergencies
  • Maintain materials and tools necessary for completion of irrigation projects within budget
  • Set-up, clean-up, and take good care of our machinery and each other; safety is everybody’s responsibility
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • May be requested to work weekends or overtime
  • English speaking a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Requires the ability to follow instructions, guidelines, and objectives
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Works professionally and maintains working relationships with customers, coworkers, vendors, groundskeepers, staff, etc.
