Description This is a full-time, direct placement role at Meyer Landscaping. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Irrigation Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems for our customers. This role requires a strong understanding of irrigation technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. Responsibilities: · Conduct routine maintenance checks on existing irrigation systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency. · Conduct inspections and testing of Backflow preventers · Perform repairs on irrigation equipment, including sprinkler heads, valves, pipes, and controllers. · Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with irrigation systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. · Adjust irrigation schedules and settings based on seasonal changes, weather patterns, and specific customer needs. · Collaborate with customers to assess their irrigation requirements and provide recommendations for system improvements or upgrades. · Keep accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and parts used. · Educate customers on proper irrigation practices, water conservation techniques, and system operation. · Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in residential irrigation services. · Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working on irrigation systems, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. Requirements · At least 5 years experience working with residential irrigation systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. · Valid driver's license and clean driving record. · Backflow preventer certification · Strong technical skills and familiarity with irrigation components, including pumps, valves, controllers, and drip systems. · Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. · Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers. · Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time efficiently and prioritizing tasks effectively. · Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
