Description We are currently looking for a creative and dynamic Irrigation Technician II to join our Grounds team! Quail West is a leading private golf and country club that prides itself on providing world-class facilities for Members and their guests and an extraordinary and inclusive, yet unpretentious lifestyle. One of Southwest Florida’s most welcoming clubs, Quail West’s courses, facilities and services are shared by a limited number of members to enhance the quality of the member experience. Will exhibit proficiency in all tasks associated with the daily care and maintenance of a private upscale community. The position will have a primary focus on irrigation repair and maintenance. This is a Full-Time position. Compensation: $20-$22 /hour Schedule: Monday - Friday 5:45 am - 2:15 pm & one weekend per month Why Join the Quail West Team? Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Will energetically support all training activities with this department to ensure consistency throughout the community. Will perform all duties in a safe operating manner while wearing all required safety equipment. Will operate irrigation controllers. Will perform Irrigation controller repairs. Will program the irrigation computer Will track wire and make repairs Will hand water new plantings and perform wet checks. Will adjust and repair irrigation system as needed. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Exhibit professionalism and leadership qualities through own self-actions. Must be compliant with and actively support a drug free workplace. Comply with all rules and regulations as stated whether verbal or written. Will energetically support all training activities with this department to ensure consistency throughout grounds operation. Will perform all duties of Operator 3 with excellence but not be limited to these tasks. Will perform all duties in a safe operating manner while wearing all required safety equipment. Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma preferred. Meticulous attention to detail. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Bi-lingual is a plus. Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 50 pounds. Moderate noise level in the work environment. Will comply with all safety procedures, requirements, and regulations. Will work occasional weekends Requires individual to spend long periods of time on their feet, walking, standing, or stooping. Must be well groomed and maintain a neat, clean, and well-kept uniform appearance.
