POSITION SUMMARY

The Irrigation Two-Wire Specialist is responsible for the design, installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of two-wire irrigation control systems. This role provides technical expertise across residential, commercial, golf, and agricultural projects, ensuring reliable communication and long-term performance of advanced two-wire systems. The specialist also supports training, product evaluation, and quality assurance for Seeger Water’s statewide operations.

TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE SHARING

• Train field technicians and apprentices on two-wire best practices, wiring standards, and troubleshooting methods.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for two-wire installation and maintenance.
• Partner with the Training & Quality Team to deliver statewide technical workshops.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or technical certification required.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with two-wire irrigation systems.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in electrical continuity, grounding, and decoder-based systems.
• Familiarity with multiple manufacturers’ two-wire platforms (Hunter ICD, Rain Bird ESP-LXIVM, Baseline, Toro Sentinel, etc.).
• Ability to read irrigation as-builts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Texas irrigator license or technician license (required).
• Willingness to travel statewide.

  Pay: $34.10 - $44.60 per hour

• Install, configure, and service two-wire irrigation controllers, decoders, surge protection, and grounding systems.
• Diagnose communication failures, short-to-ground issues, and other two-wire troubleshooting challenges.
• Provide advanced field support to regional crews during complex installations and repairs.
• Conduct system startups, calibrations, and as-built documentation.
