Description

Harrison Pensa is currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time Administrative Clerk in our Integrated Recovery Services Department. Our Integrated Recovery Services group is a highly specialized Creditor’s Rights department responsible for high volume commercial and consumer debt recovery legal work. In this position, you will be responsible for providing support for various day to day functions of the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Office Administration, Executive Assistant or related discipline;
  • 2 to 3 years experience in a legal administration or data entry role;
  • Knowledge of legal systems and software’s considered an asset;
  • Organizational and time management skills to effectively meet deadlines;
  • Team player with strong attention to detail;
  • Strong analytical abilities to problem solve;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Enterprise Elite software considered an asset;
  • Experience working in a professional services environment considered an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Sending, receiving, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail and courier packages;
  • Receiving incoming documents via fax, email, voicemails, and identifying associated accounts;
  • Responding to general inquiries from clients;
  • Troubleshooting documentation issues and working with colleagues and management;
  • Maintaining filing systems for court documents;
  • Corresponding with clerks regarding urgent deadlines;
  • Interacting with courts, clients, and customers regarding account status;
  • Communicating with courts and employers to confirm compliance with garnishment status;
  • Submitting court documentation online and updating accounts accordingly;
  • Processing cheques and payments in accordance with departmental requirements;
  • Following up on fund receipt and payment posting;
  • Processing cheques and payments;

  • Reviewing accounts for billing and processing invoices;
  • Transferring lawyer billable time-logs to internal systems for billing;
  • Requisitioning cheques from accounting as needed;
  • Reviewing and maintaining file statuses in the internal filing system;

  • Assisting with data entry and organization;
  • Collaborating with management and programming to streamline processes;
  • Downloading and organizing reports from internal systems for various stakeholders;
  • Other duties as required.
