This job manages the Epic application team in collaboration department leadership. This job manages day-to-day individual and team dynamics, work prioritization, quality, fiscal stewardship, project strategy and management of all aspects of a project life cycle. The incumbent provides mentoring and coaching associated with performance development and project management, makes decisions that influence the project on a large scale, serves as the central point of communication and coordination for project team and manages direct reports who are involved in the day-to-day operations of the project. This job influences and directs internal communications and coordinates overall project needs with the vendor implementation manager and coordinator.

EDUCATION

Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred - Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.
Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare or Business Administration or related field

WORK EXPERIENCE

Required - 10 years related management or project leadership experience, including three years of supervision or management experience.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.

  • Strong knowledge in healthcare billing.
  • Strong partnering, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong budget and schedule management skills ensuring the business community is engaged in the project.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead large, complex system integration efforts or large software application.
  • Ability to remain dedicated to client service.
  • Skills to think clearly in complex, dynamic situations.
  • Skills to negotiate with various parties towards a mutually acceptable business solution.
  • Skills to assist Application Coordinators in their respective areas.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, such as nights, evnings, weekends, and extended shifts, etc.
  • Ability to travel domestically.
