Description Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a Helpdesk IS/IT Specialist Level 1 to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Directorate, Joint Training (DDJT). This role is 100% onsite. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: Provide expert-level telephone and in-person support to end-users experiencing a range of desktop hardware, software, and virtualization issues. Quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical problems within our virtualized environment, utilizing your knowledge of VMWare Horizon Client and other key technologies. Deliver outstanding customer service by actively listening to user concerns, asking probing questions to understand their needs, and guiding them through clear and concise solutions. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple support requests and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely resolution. Perform essential server administration tasks, including user account management, password and logon policy implementation, and CAC/PIV accuracy verification. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 80 lbs. Why Work For ISS? Requirements Clearance Level Secret clearance Certifications (IAT Level II) One of the following: · CCNA-Security · CySA+ · GICSP · GSEC · Security+ CE · CND · SSCP And Functional area certification (required prior to start date) Required Skills A bachelor’s degree and/or five years of experience in helpdesk. Qualifications: Strong working knowledge of: Microsoft Office 365 suite Microsoft Teams Active Directory Domain Services ActivClient 90-Meter Windows 11 GVS Collaborative Software
