JOB SUMMARY:

This role plays a key role in mentoring and developing the IS Systems Support sub-team, part of the broader Information Systems (IS) Team. This role blends strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience to guide a team of experienced professionals responsible for infrastructure, endpoint management, and secure systems operations.
The ideal candidate will also bring experience in deploying and supporting artificial intelligence (AI) platforms, tools, and integrations across the business.

FORMAL EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, including Windows servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Active Directory and Azure AD, Office 365 and Exchange Online, SharePoint, backup solutions (e.g., Veeam), disaster recovery, group policy, and cloud environments
  • Familiarity with infrastructure requirements for data-intensive applications, including AI/ML workloads
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform)

Responsibilities
  • Leading the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies
  • Guiding the Systems Support team through escalated technical issues, prioritization, task management, and daily workflow
  • Serving as the technical lead for infrastructure-related and AI-related projects; ensuring alignment with business goals and IS strategy
  • Designing and implementing infrastructure to support AI initiatives, including model training, inference workloads, and data pipelines
  • Partnering with data science, software development, and business teams to deploy and maintain AI tools, APIs, and services (e.g., machine learning platforms, LLMs, computer vision systems)
  • Collaborating with the IS Project Manager to schedule and prioritize tasks based on project timelines and organizational needs
  • Ensuring the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring appropriate training and onboarding of system support team members while mentoring growth of technical expertise, accountability and project ownership.
  • Maintaining server and security configurations in compliance with best practices and baseline standards.
  • Planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN/WAN/VLAN networks, and system management tools.
  • Promoting proactive practices such as system monitoring, patching, and endpoint configuration management.
  • Staying current with technological trends and bring forward ideas for smarter system management that improve performance, automation, and security.
  • Contributing to cross-functional projects and propose new technical approaches with approval from the IS Team Lead.
  • Encouraging secure system configuration and strong access management practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with IS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for systems uptime, support efficiency, and team productivity.
