The Division of Enterprise Operations (DEO) administers enterprise policies governing procurement, risk management, and continuity of operations planning; provides services to DOA and other agencies in the areas of financial management, procurement, risk management, continuity of operations planning, and the State Prosecutors Program; and facilitates opportunities for diverse businesses to sell goods and services to state agencies.
The State Bureau of Procurement (SBOP) manages statewide contracts for goods and services commonly used by agencies and UW campuses that create consistent value and improve efficiencies for the enterprise.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Section Chief for the WisPro Resources & Special Programs (WisPro) Section of the State Bureau of Procurement (SBOP), this position provides services to SBOP on matters directly related to the IT systems’ business needs of the Bureau and acts as a Bureau liaison with the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET). This position performs services for the Bureau and enterprise procurement staff representing state agencies, campuses, and municipalities.

This position performs services for the Bureau and enterprise procurement staff representing state agencies, campuses, and municipalities.
This position is responsible for supporting the Bureau and enterprise-wide procurement systems and data collection and analysis. This position is expected to have the knowledge of fundamental business rules, principles, and practices, as well as familiarity with IS concepts. This position works with agency and campus staff, including but not limited to procurement, IT Management, database, security, and software development teams. This position works cooperatively with procurement staff across the state, as well as with suppliers, and acts in accordance with Bureau technical and strategic directions, policies, and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimally qualified applicants will have all the following:

  • Experience providing excellent customer service (e.g., identifying customer needs and wants, providing service or information to meet or exceed customer’s expectation, demonstrating excellent written and/or verbal skills when interacting with customers)
  • Experience with creating reports and/or analyzing data
  • Experience troubleshooting user issues with computer hardware and/or software (e.g., exploring issues accessing online content, checking the computer hardware is connected correctly, providing screenshots and written documentation of unresolved issues for the IT team)

In addition to having all the items listed above, a well-qualified applicant will have at least one of the following:

  • Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and/or systems
  • Experience with project management (e.g., creating list of deliverables, establishing timelines, coordinating with other teams, providing written and/or verbal updates to stakeholders and/or management)
