SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

  • Monitoring and filing Customs Importer Security Filings (ISF). File ISF filings and provide all other ISF filing activities according to Expeditors policies, customer needs and applicable regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service, keep in close contact with customer and origin office to make sure the shipment is filed accurately and timely
  • Ensure that all work is handled efficiently by ensuring filings are completed timely & accurately.
  • Work out discrepancies of filing not on file
  • Assist with Monitoring all ISF filings (in not ready, rejected, accepted w/warnings, draft status) on a daily basis
  • Monitor IHO Events from origin on workboard
  • Assist with reporting (mismatch report troubleshooting)
  • Ensure you adhere to the required minimum of 52 annual training hours for all staff

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferably 1-2 years in freight forwarding industry. ISF experience a plus
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analysis & problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
