ISG Engineer Monday/Friday - Onsite Athens, Greece Overview The ISG Engineer is responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing client infrastructure environments across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to independently lead complex troubleshooting and infrastructure tasks, and the ability to coordinate effectively with global teams and clients. Candidates should bring deep experience across Microsoft, virtualization, networking, and identity services while contributing to technical leadership within the ISG group. Responsibilities Infrastructure Support: Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, storage, virtualization platforms, networking components, and cloud services across diverse client environments. Cloud & Hybrid Environments: Lead or contribute to Azure and Microsoft 365 migrations, integrations, optimizations, and modernization initiatives. Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform routine monitoring and health checks across client environments. Backup Operations: Monitor daily backup jobs and replication tasks. Escalate and assist in remediation of failed backups. Validate backup integrity as requested and maintain related documentation. Incident Response: Lead complex escalations, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, and document post-incident findings. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and configuration records. Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Managed Services, NOC, and ISG teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational continuity. Client Interaction: Provide professional, timely communication and support for client tickets and project tasks, primarily remote with occasional onsite work. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or systems administration. Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, Azure administration, and identity services. Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Windows infrastructure services. Strong proficiency in Windows Server (2012–2025) and associated infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, NPS, and file services. Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (preferably VMware & Hyper-V). Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls). Experience with MFA platforms (Duo, Azure MFA). Experience using RMM tools such as Kaseya. Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and escalate when required. Experience documenting processes and creating knowledge base content. Strong customer service orientation and communication skills. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Self-motivated, organized, and committed to ongoing learning. Ability to work in a global team and support after-hours tasks when required. Experience and willingness to work on an on-call rotation. Familiarity with backup technologies and disaster recovery concepts. Relevant certifications are a plus (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, etc.). Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow structured processes. Ability to work within a global team and support after-hours tasks as needed for international clients. Preferred Qualifications Azure Administrator or Azure Fundamentals certification. VMware Datacenter (VCP-DCV) certification or equivalent experience. Experience with ITGlue documentation.
