Description

AINO Private Island is a new adults-only boutique hotel nestled along the serene banks of the Kemijoki River, just beyond the edge of Rovaniemi. It is a peaceful sanctuary where nature, privacy, and refined Nordic hospitality meet. As the sister property of the award-winning Arctic TreeHouse Hotel, AINO is designed for those who seek an experience of quiet luxury, emotional presence, and intuitive, deeply personal service. Aino Private Island is the sister property of Arctic TreeHouse Hotel.
As our current Island Manager is transitioning to a new role within the company we are now seeking a dedicated and inspiring Island Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and take the service culture of this unique island hotel to new heights. This is a rare opportunity to shape a one-of-a-kind hospitality concept that celebrates northern nature, heritage, and heartfelt guest care.

Responsibilities
  • Daily operationsAs Island Manager, you will lead the daily operations of AINO Private Island with a hands-on, presence-driven approach. Working side by side with a small and dedicated team, you will ensure that each guest experience is delivered with warmth, intention, and refined attention to detail.
  • Shaping service excellenceYou will play a central role in shaping and continuously developing the services offered on the island — from arrival to farewell — ensuring they reflect the AINO values of intuitive care, authenticity, and a deep connection to nature and place. This includes designing clear service standards, creating training moments in the flow of daily work, and nurturing a team culture where everyone feels empowered to contribute to excellence.
  • Resourceful planning and implementation for efficient operationsWith a strong focus on operational efficiency, you will implement practical systems that support smooth coordination, sustainable routines, and cost-awareness — all while preserving the calm, unhurried atmosphere that defines the guest experience. This includes staff scheduling, time management aligned with Finnish labor regulations, and overseeing purchases to ensure quality and resourcefulness.
  • Collaboration and communicationCollaboration is at the heart of your leadership. You will foster open communication within the team, support daily tasks across all service areas, and act as a key bridge to the wider leadership team, offering insight, ideas, and feedback that support both operational and strategic development.
  • Orchestrating island harmonyYour responsibility is to create a rhythm on the island where things run naturally and gracefully — where the invisible work behind the scenes allows the visible moments to shine.
