Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Information System Security Officer (ISSO) / Information Security Management Advisor & Trainer (ISMA/T) to serve as Key Personnel supporting a major federal program. The ISSO will provide leadership, oversight, and compliance expertise for all aspects of Information Assurance (IA) and IT security. This role ensures adherence to GSA CIO IT Security Policies, NIST requirements, FISMA, and other applicable federal security regulations. The ISSO will work independently from the operations team, directly supporting the Program Manager and government stakeholders, while also delivering training and guidance to trusted personnel. This position will be an on-site role at the designated primary location, five (5) days a week, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Government. You must have a DoD Top Secret Clearance. This is for a proposal that is in its early stages and this contract has not been awarded yet.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience providing Information Assurance (IA) and IT security support for full lifecycle IT projects of similar scope and technology.
• Demonstrated experience with federal security authorization, compliance, risk management, and monitoring requirements.
• Strong background in incident response, audits, and compliance reporting within a federal contracting environment.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage security training programs for trusted personnel.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline.

• In lieu of a degree, an additional 5 years of IA accreditation and support experience may be substituted.

• Active CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or GIAC certification (ANSI-accredited).

• Must have a DoD Top Secret Clearance as required by the contract.

• Ensure compliance with GSA CIO IT Security Policies, NIST guidance, FISMA, and the e-Government Act of 2002.
• Lead and oversee the security Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process for program systems.
• Implement and maintain continuous monitoring processes to ensure ongoing compliance with Federal and GSA requirements.
• Conduct and ensure compliance with required annual PKI audits and other periodic compliance activities, maintaining alignment with Certificate Policies.
• Deliver and track security training for all trusted personnel prior to their task order activities, including requirements from GSA and NIST.
• Undergo all required Federal security training as mandated by the program and GSA.
• Respond to and resolve security incidents, ensuring proper documentation, escalation, reporting, and closure in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide technical and policy guidance to contractor teams and ensure IA activities are well coordinated internally and externally.
• Serve as the primary security advisor to the Program Manager, maintaining an independent reporting chain from operations.
• Track and report all security incidents to stakeholders and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
