SUMMARY:

As OKIN’s IT Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining various infrastructure hardware and software. This role requires a deep understanding of Windows Server operating systems, network administration, cloud technologies and virtualization technologies, as well as leadership and project management skills to ensure the stability and performance of our infrastructure. You will work closely with department heads and IT staff to create and implement computer networks and policies. A successful candidate will have the ability to work both individually and as part of a team while designing, implementing, and managing our communications, ensuring its robustness, scalability, and security.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field preferred
  • 3+ years of server maintenance and/or network systems experience
  • Understanding of complex network technologies, protocols and services including firewall management (e.g., VLAN, Load balancing, TCP/IP, DNS). FortiGate expertise a plus.
  • Strong experience in scripting and automation (PowerShell)
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware and/or Hyper-V.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and group policy creation
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong background in information security controls, best practices and regulatory obligations (SOC, PCI, NIST).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Responsible for configuration, installation, testing, and maintenance of LANs/WANs using switching, routing and monitoring technologies.
  • Creating user accounts, carrying out backup and recovery functions, and monitoring the performance of servers
  • Managing Office 365 environment
  • Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing IT Helpdesk tickets and recurring issues/requests
  • Proactively make recommendations for prevention and resolution.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure design, configuration, processes, and procedures.
  • Lead infrastructure projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Manage the daily, weekly and monthly system administration tasks on all network hardware and provide monthly performance reports to the IT Ops manager on systems and application performance
  • Produce and maintain appropriate documentation to the defined team standards, ensuring that new procedures are documented in an efficient and timely manner, and that suitable version control is employed.
  • Coordinate and oversee user accounts creation, monitoring and maintenance, access levels and permissions, and implementation of systems resource use policies in accordance with security policies, procedures and delegations.
  • Ensure that the organization’s information security policy is adhered to and be responsible for reporting and documenting any security breaches.
  • Provide first and second line support to End User Support team staff, customers, partners and Senior leadership to solve complex technical issues that are unable to be addressed by other members of the team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network and cyber security including configuring, maintaining and onboarding users to VPNs.
  • Coordinate and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions, respond to service interruptions, and other critical situations to re-establish system functionality. Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
