JOB SUMMARY

As an IT Advanced Performance Quality Analyst you will provide professional knowledge, skills, and leadership in load and performance testing of application software and systems. This role includes skills, activities, practices, tools, and deliverables applied at every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) which ensures that a software solution will be designed, implemented, and operationally supported to meet the non-functional requirements for performance (such as throughput, latency, or memory usage). This includes the quality of the coding itself and not just the outcome of the application execution. This position promotes appropriate testing methodologies, striving to identify and manage defects in the software systems.
Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester duties performed by this position are typically more complex and of a larger scope than those led by less experienced Quality Assurance Analysis/Testing staff. The QA staff at this level require minimal direction, coaching, and mentoring when leading the quality assurance/analysis for projects.
ITS4 IT Performance Quality Analyst have advanced expertise. Duties performed by this position are complex and involve forward thinking while continually focused on solving system problems with a broad view of the IT landscape. The Senior QA Performance Engineer staff at this level require minimal direction, coaching, and mentoring when leading the load and performance testing efforts for any given project. Due to its required deep technical knowledge, it is expected that this position will continue to advance what is already in place and to continually create new solutions for load and performance testing.
This is a Remote Worker position, where the employees home address shall serve as their official work location and must be located within the continental United States. Remote work is a condition of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a minimum of four (4) years of experience in performing IT quality analysis functions.

Experience must include:

• Creating business relevant artifacts: test cases, test plans, test reports, and test data, and project or process documentation.
• Strong knowledge of open-source load and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Performance Center0 with expertise in creating load models, performance test scripts for ERP applications such as PeopleSoft, and testing HTTPS/database protocols.
• Proven ability to leading multiple large scale testing tasks with various releases, managing and coordinating activities within the test environments while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Azure Cloud, CI/DC pipelines, and GitHub in a performance testing or QA context.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to actively listen, and collaborate to define issues and solutions.
• Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
• Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Leadership and mentoring experience, including leading defect triage meetings and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise with PeopleSoft 9.1/9.2 in public sector environments, including performance tuning, full lifecycle upgrades, and enterprise performance optimization.
• Proven skills in benchmark, load, stress, and other non-functional testing, as well as performance tuning, bottleneck analysis, and batch processing.
• Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Visual Studio, C#), SQL, and Azure Test Plans for cloud-based performance testing.
• Strong process management abilities using industry-standard development methodologies, with success in managing multiple priorities on complex projects.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues across integrated applications and databases.
