Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an IT Analyst, Controls & Governance on a permanent basis in our Innovation team.
This position is a remote opportunity and can be based anywhere in Saskatchewan . We will also be open to candidates in Alberta and Manitoba .
Join our team as an IT Governance & Compliance Analyst where you’ll spearhead continual improvement initiatives within our Innovation Business Unit. From implementing robust controls for technology processes to directing business planning activities, this role offers a dynamic opportunity to make impactful contributions while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance IT controls and compliance.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are looking for a career in Information Technology and:

  • Have 2-4 years of relevant work experience in IT Audit, IT GRC, IT Risk Management, Technology Risk Consulting, and/or IT Project Management.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science or equivalent of education and experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have proficiency in MS Office tools, including Visio and Project.
  • Have achieved certification in, or in process of obtaining designations/certificates for ITIL, PMP, or CISA.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate across the Business Unit to develop and implement processes/standards, ensuring compliance and facilitating continuous improvement. Apply expertise to assess materials, identify gaps, weaknesses, and drive corrective actions through stakeholder engagement.
  • Support Innovation team in building business plans, monitoring progress, and aligning drafts with BU strategies. Prepare and submit timely business planning reports to SLT, gathering information from Innovation leaders.
  • Internal Compliance Auditing: Perform targeted audits to ensure compliance with processes and standards, reporting findings and recommendations to Manager, Controls and Governance. Lead implementation and change management activities in response to audit items, liaising with internal and external audit teams.
  • Assist with gathering evidence and coordinating external audits.
  • Innovation Vendor Management: Assist Innovation leaders/project leads in vendor engagement initiation and contract management. Lead pre-procurement activities and liaise with Procurement through the vendor selection process.

    The Team: You will work independently under high level direction and supervision from the
    Manager, Controls and Governance, while ensuring the Manager is fully informed of issues in progress. This team strives to cultivate a culture of innovation, support and collaboration.
