TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Has experience in creating reports, visualizations and analysis from large data sets
  • Has written scripting to extract or to analyze data sets
  • Understands the role of a data engineer, software engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or related roles
  • Has some experience and has worked with the following technologies
  • Essential
  • Microsoft Azure Data Integration Stack (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Databricks), or equivalent
  • Data Visualization tools, for example, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Qlik, or equivalent
  • Desirable
  • Programming language for analyzing data, for example, Python, R, or equivalent
  • Generative/Open AI
  • Other RPA tools
  • Azure GIT or Jira or Confluence
  • Technical documentation and writing skills, and have published API documentation or similar
  • Experience or familiar with Agile ways of working

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing University Degree/Polytechnic Diploma Information Technology, Information Systems, or any other related disciplines
  • Are comfortable putting forward new ideas on how we maximise value from the huge range of data being held and managed
  • Able and confident to propose ways for the team to be more efficient in delivery
  • Takes initiative and is a self-starter
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a team structure that is spread across multiple locations
  • Is passionate about working and deriving value from big data
Responsibilities

WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE

The IT Analyst/Engineer – Intern is an exciting role within a modern and progressive IT department. The role holder will be expected to work, extract, visualise and maximise the usage of the vast quantities of data available, being able to collaborate with team members and colleagues to achieve what is required. The person will work as a member of a team, picking up tasks and tickets assigned to them, but in addition may be required to perform individual tasks to experiment and evaluate new concepts, including adoption of AI, process automation and innovation. In completing their work, the role holder will need to be confident to showcase how they approached their work, the activities they performed, demonstrate the output, and participate In retrospectives.
