Description
We are currently seeking an IT Analyst Intern to join our team. This position will be based in South Milwaukee, WI with secondary support at Franksville, WI. The IT Analyst Intern is responsible for providing client infrastructure (PC, Laptop, PC/Laptop Peripheral, Mobile Device, Printers) support with minimal supervision of a supervisor or senior peer. This includes monitoring Incident and Request queues and meeting defined SLAs for Incident and Request resolution. Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PC hardware (Wi-Fi connectivity, VPN issues), software, hardware, associated peripherals, network printers, telephony, and standard productivity software for internal customers. Handle PC Lifecycle Management, including Provisioning, Asset Management and Disposal. May also assist with disposal of other IT assets. Learn the standard IT Service Management (ITSM) processes of Asset Management, Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, and Problem Management. Provide “smart hands” and eyes support for other infrastructure located outside of the sites you support on behalf of the Infrastructure SME teams. Participate in application, infrastructure, security and OpEx initiatives and support activities as needed related to site infrastructure that requires physical on-site presence, interaction with site personnel and/or expertise about site-based IT systems. Assist with the basic support of various site-based operational technology systems. This varies widely from site to site and requires partnership with the manufacturing engineers. Be the ‘Face of IT' for the site at the site. Respond to and document IT support tickets in ServiceNow and provide suggestions for improving customer service, knowledge articles and internal processes. Participate in annual Risk Assessment and Profit Planning activities, including Disaster Recovery Reviews with leadership. Actively seek out, participate and lead projects to maintain and improve the computing environment with a focus on continuous improvement. In pursuit of an associate's degree or technical certification, in a computing area such as computer science or information systems from an accredited institution Minimum 2 years of IT experience (formal or informal). Proficiency in MS Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) This position requires use of information or access to hardware which may be subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Arden, NC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 2 plus years of IT experience supporting Windows operating systems and PCs. Knowledge of Industrial Electronics Technology/ Mechanics and Repair Technologies Prior experience or knowledge in specific technologies, networking, or programming languages (i.e. PowerShell) Position Criteria Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a diverse team Growth mindset with motivation to learn new technology.
