JOB SUMMARY Information Technology Support Co-op will support day-to-day IT operations across warehouse, production, and office environments. They will provide frontline technical support, IT solutions, maintain hardware and software systems, and contribute to continuous improvement of IT services to achieve department and company objectives.   COMPENSATION  $20.00 per hour.   AI STATEMENT We use an applicant tracking system that includes AI-enabled features to support parts of the recruitment process, such as application organization or screening. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the recruitment process.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·         Provide basic Level 1 support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, warehouse scanning equipment, and standard business applications ·         Perform PC imaging, configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance ·         Conduct PC clean-ups (software optimization, updates, security checks, and performance improvements) ·         Complete Active Directory clean-up, including user account maintenance and access updates ·         Set up new hire desks, including hardware installation, system configuration, and access provisioning ·         Assign IT assets to users and maintain accurate asset tracking records ·         Perform regular IT inventory audits and maintain inventory documentation ·         Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN) and escalate as required ·         Support Microsoft 365 services, including email and collaboration tools ·         Coordinate hardware repairs and service requests with external vendors when necessary ·         Document procedures, technical solutions, and system configurations ·         Support global IT projects and local system upgrades ·         Perform other IT duties as assigned   METRICS ·         To consistently meet deadlines and objectives as determined by manager ·         To handle ongoing projects and day-to-day demands and prioritize effectively with the assistance of the manager SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/A   QUALIFICATIONS   ·         Intermediate Knowledge of: Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directories, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and standard computer hardware. ·         Must have a valid G license and reliable vehicle to travel between sites in Stoney Creek and St. Catharines, Ontario.     KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED  * Work independently with little or no supervision * Ability to ask for assistance for difficult or unfamiliar projects * Ability to multi-task * Ability to work at fast pace * Attention to detail * Ability to problem solve * Strong writing and communication skills * Good interpersonal skills   EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE  * Enrolled in a co-op program in a post-secondary institution * Enrolled in in a Computer Engineering or Electrical Technologist Program highly preferred * Technical experience and/or training considered an asset * Intermediate technical IT knowledge   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS  N/A   PHYSICAL DEMANDS  ·         Work environment includes typical computer related noise levels and paper and equipment generated dust. ·         Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis. ·         Incumbent is on call to travel between sites for service calls and projects ·         Occasional sitting, frequent walking, reaching/working overhead, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, continuous standing and repetitive hand motion. ·         Lifting requirements include occasional lifting of 50 pounds with more frequent lifting of 20 pounds.   BONUS/COMMISSION PLAN N/A   EMPLOYEE EVALUATION SUMMARY N/A   WORK SCHEDULE This is a non-exempt position which requires a work schedule that will achieve the results and objectives identified by the company and the Cloud & System Administrator. This is a four-month contract or the equivalent of one co-op term. Generally, the company operates at normal business hours, which are 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. There is a possibility of overtime at the manager’s discretion. All overtime must be pre-approved before it can be worked.   WORK ENVIRONMENT The environment is a plant and inventory setting.  Dress attire is casual but professional in a plant and inventory setting.  All employees are required to wear “Radwear” (apparel with company logo) at all times once the initial supply (at company expense) has been received.  Closed-toe shoes must be worn.
