Description

ABOUT US

At the Buckinghamshire Primary Pupil Referral Unit we provide support for children experiencing significant social, emotional or mental health difficulties in their mainstream primary school. Children may be supported by outreach or by attendance at one of our units. We serve all maintained primary schools in Buckinghamshire. You will find more information about what we do and who we support on our website
www.bucksprimarypru.co.uk

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have experience of analysing and evaluating data, specifically education performance data, highlighting trends and working with the senior leadership team to support the PRU in providing high quality education, together with pastoral and behavioural support to its pupils. The role holder will also be responsible for ensuring that Statutory returns are analysed and submitted to the Department for Education within the required timeframe.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to work on their own initiative and have a positive and proactive approach. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of individuals, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines are essential.
You will be able to evidence high standards of competence, along with excellent knowledge of software (including Microsoft products to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Office 365).
The successful applicant will also work alongside our IT support provider and act as the first line contact for the PRU team to ensure that our IT systems work smoothly, as well as responsibility for our website maintenance and overseeing the set-up of staff accounts for the platforms we use.
If you have expert IT skills across a range of digital platforms, together with outstanding organisational and administrative abilities, we look forward to receiving your application.
Please see the attached job description for full details.
The candidate will be an effective communicator (both orally and in writing), have a good eye for detail and understand the need for confidentiality. No two days are the same at the PRU and the postholder should be flexible, able to manage conflicting priorities and ‘last minute’ tasks, and be confident to work on their own initiative.
If you have a ‘can do’ attitude, enjoy multi-tasking and are interested in helping us to ensure that our pupils have the best opportunities, then we would like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be part of the wider administration team and have overall responsibility for the management and administration of pupil and staff data across the PRU. Experience of SIMS Connected and working in a school setting would be an advantage. This is a full time role (8.30am to 3.30pm each day) during term time. We will consider part time or a job share for the right applicants.
The Data and IT Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the PRU’s MIS, ensuring data integrity and security, and providing data-driven support for school improvement initiatives. This role involves data collection, analysis and reporting, together with providing advice to the senior leadership team.
The role is varied and you will be one of our ‘go to’ people to provide high quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the site and wider PRU admin team.
