ARES is seeking an experienced Supervisor to provide oversight to a team of project managers, subject matter experts, and multimedia professionals in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education - BA/BS.
  • Minimum experience - 10 years.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational communication skills and collaboration abilities.
  • Strength in organizational conflict resolution and effective problem-solving.
  • Capable of working autonomously while balancing multiple, competing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain an open line of communication with NASA customers, eMITS management, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) and SharePoint.
Responsibilities
  • This position will include but not be limited to the following activities:
  • Provide supervisory oversight to ensure efficient work package performance and compliance with contract and NASA policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate staffing needs; assist with recruitment efforts including interviewing, candidate selection, onboarding, staff training, and staff evaluations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all contract deliverables, including reports, data calls, timesheets, and other required documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, escalating concerns to senior management or NASA stakeholders as necessary.
  • Conduct regular team and customer meetings to share updates, address challenges, and maintain strong communication channels.
  • Collaborate with the Cost Account Manager (CAM) to monitor and manage budget forecasts, ensuring costs remain within allocated funds and contributing to annual budget planning.
  • Develop and mentor staff to support professional growth and maximize individual and team potential.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation, continuous improvement, and team engagement.
  • Remote, hybrid, and onsite positions the employee bears travel costs to nearest NASA Center for badging and issue of NASA IT equipment.
  • For Remote and Hybrid positions the employee must have a reliable internet connection and be able to VPN into the NASA network to conduct work.
