Description

AWTG, a leader in 5G systems integration and application development, is looking for an IT and Network Security Engineer.
As a Network Security Engineer, you’ll work across various domains including RAN, Mobile Core, IP Routers, Ethernet switches, Data center switches, Firewalls, Load balancers, SD-WAN, RADIUS, DHCP, and DNS. Your responsibilities will involve implementing security mechanisms on infrastructure based on both O-RAN Alliance OpenRAN and 3GPP standards, in addition to managing associated network management systems, orchestrators, and OSS platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in enterprise networking.
  • In-depth technical understanding of 5G architecture and O-RAN networks.
  • Proficiency in protocols and technologies including IPSec, VPN, TCP/IP, SSL, TLS, IDS/IPS, SSH, SNMP, NTP.
  • Thorough knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and SIEM.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles, frameworks, and standards (NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, 3GPP 5G Security, O-RAN security specifications).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 for Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Load balancing, and Security Networking.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience implementing security measures in cloud environments.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Networking and security certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc)
Responsibilities
  • Implement the security mechanisms (such as encryption, authentication, authorization and access control) to safeguard data transmitted over O-RAN and 5G Core interfaces.
  • Develop and implement the O-RAN and Core network security mechanism from 3GPP and O-RAN specifications
  • Develop JOTS Compliant solutions in both O-RAN and 3GPP environments for commercial deployment.
  • Conduct penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities on 5G network and recommend remediation measures.
  • Work with external auditors to assess security and secure certifications like ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
  • Managing IT network infrastructure and data center operations while implementing new systems and services.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues within the data center
