POSITION SUMMARY

The IT & Systems Manager is responsible and accountable for the management, and execution of all organizational IT systems, networks, connectivity, software, and equipment (collectively, the “Platform"), ensuring that the Platform fulfills the current and future needs of our client. The IT & Systems Manager directs a small in-house IT team as well as supplementary vendors and contractors while keeping current hardware and software systems running smoothly with minimal downtime to fulfill current operational and reporting needs.

Responsibilities

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP DUTIES:

  • Continuously develops architectures of core systems and champions project management initiatives from design through completion.
  • Develops computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensures IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost-efficient, and strategically sound for all departments. Evolves IT systems that enable change, growth, and flexibility.
  • Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Meets with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Oversees the development of business reporting and ensures that department leaders have the tools to produce reports.

DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT DUTIES:

  • Directs daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.
  • Consults with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Proactively analyzes IT and Company business requirements that identify the need for upgrades, configurations, and new systems.
  • Establishes and improves IT policies and procedures.
  • Effectively utilizes cross-training initiatives and volunteers to minimize labor expenses on a weekly basis with a goal of limiting overtime expenses.
  • Maintains proper inventory of equipment and oversees maintenance, repairs and purchasing.
  • Assigns and reviews the work of systems analysts, programmers, and other computer-related workers.
  • Manages all third-party audio-visual vendors and attends pre and post-event meetings with clients.
  • Evaluates data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.
  • Reviews and approves all systems charts and programs prior to their implementation.
  • Evaluates the organization’s technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
  • Manages backup, security and user help systems.
  • Coordinates invoicing and ensures accuracy of systems used.
  • Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.

    Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
