Job Title: IT Application Support Practitioner Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This role will require full time, on site working Salary: Circa £52,000 What you’ll be doing Investigating, diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by end users to ensure continuous system availability and user satisfaction Providing hands on, immediate assistance to users often in person to help effectively use and troubleshoot Business Engineering applications and services, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance Proactively monitored application performance and stability, identifying and resolving potential issues to maintain optimal service availability and user experience Overseeing the administration of various toolsets including application configurations and development Support with user administration requirements and configuration development Monitoring the environment of applications and tracking performance Your skills and experiences Experience of using and applying MS and/or Oracle SQL An ITIL certification is mandatory for this role You will need to have prior experience gained with Siemens Teamcenter Experience in the use of Linux and Unix based servers Ability to undertake database problem solving Desirable Experience of applying PLM toolsets within an engineering environment Benefits As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
