Job Title: IT Application Support Practitioner Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This role will require full time, on site working Salary: Circa £40,000 What you’ll be doing Assisting in the investigation, diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by end users to ensure continuous system availability and user satisfaction When fully trained in role, will support in providing hands on, immediate assistance to users often in person to help effectively use and troubleshoot Business Engineering applications and services, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance Assisting in monitoring the application performance and stability, identifying and resolving potential issues to maintain optimal service availability and user experience User administration of various toolsets Monitoring the environment of applications and tracking performance When fully trained in role, you will be providing basic application user training Your skills and experiences Essential: Experience of using and applying MS and/or Oracle SQL Ability to undertake database problem solving Desirable: You will need to have prior experience gained with Siemens Teamcenter An ITIL certification Experience of working with Linux and Unix systems Benefits As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. You will also provide users with expert at-elbow support with Business Engineering Applications and Services. This is an exciting time to join the team as they are embarking on a new project to migrate the Astute data into an In-Service support system.
