Behind that work is a portfolio of business applications that must be reliable, well-integrated, and thoughtfully managed. We are currently seeking an IT Application Manager to oversee and support our core business systems, ensuring applications effectively support operations, users, and organizational growth. The IT Applications Manager is responsible for the configuration, optimization, and operational performance of Dental Crafters’ business applications and operational technology systems. This role supports line-of-business platforms, endpoint standards, reporting infrastructure, workflow automation, and audio/visual systems to ensure that production, and administrative teams have reliable and efficient tools that support daily operations. This position manages application-related vendors, supports application integrations and automation, and partners cross-functionally to improve workflows and reduce manual processes. The IT Applications Manager collaborates with the IT Systems & Security Manager to ensure business applications operate securely and effectively within established system standards while consistently modeling and promoting the Company’s values. Requirements DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Lead the evaluation, integration, and governance of AI-powered tools and automation platforms — including large language models, AI assistants, and intelligent workflow solutions — to enhance operational efficiency and support organizational productivity initiatives · In conjunction with department heads and SME’s, configure and support line-of-business systems, including dental imaging systems, lab CAD/CAM systems, manufacturing systems, CRM, MRP/ERP, 3Shape, and 3CX · Serve as a system configuration resource and operational liaison for department leaders · Manage and maintain endpoint environments, including Windows workstations, hardware lifecycle standards, mobile device management (Android and iOS), print/scan fleet, Zebra printers, and production device systems · Support SQL Server environments, including performance tuning, indexing, and general database maintenance · Assist with ETL processes and data pipeline maintenance · Support Power BI administration and internal reporting initiatives · Manage vendor relationships, documentation, and long-term technology planning — including contract coordination, renewals, security protocols, and IT budgeting related to applications and development. · Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, APIs, and webhooks as directed · Provide audio/visual support for conference rooms, TVs/displays, meeting technology, and related equipment (set-up, troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors as needed) · Maintain version control practices using Git · Coordinate with external technical vendors as needed · Identify and recommend opportunities to reduce manual processes and improve system efficiency · Maintain documentation for system configurations, automation scripts, and process standards · Escalate infrastructure or security concerns appropriately · Consistently model and support the Company’s values JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience considered · Technical certifications such as Microsoft (M365, Windows Server), CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), or similar preferred credentials · Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting endpoint environments, system configurations, and operational technology platforms · Experience supporting enterprise endpoint environments · Experience configuring and supporting line-of-business systems · Working knowledge of SQL Server and reporting tools · Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or Python · Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills · High attention to detail and system accuracy · Ability to manage multiple operational priorities · Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical team members · Ability to move throughout office and production environments as needed; bend, stretch, kneel, and work in confined spaces; lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds; and use tools when performing equipment installation, cabling, or hardware maintenance
