BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION:

Firebrand Training have an exciting new opportunity for an IT Apprentice with Addcom IT Limited.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role is an opportunity for someone with a keen interest in IT and possibly some 1st line experience to join an MSP with an already established team of IT experts. The role will require a good telephone and email manner and an aptitude to learn and develop your IT knowledge and skills. You may be resolving Office 365 issues one day or helping to build computers/servers the next.
The ideal candidate will be looking to gain valuable experience and hopefully have ambitions to move into a second/third line role in years to come.
Addcom IT are a one stop shop for their customers so there is the possibility to gain exposure from many areas within IT and possibly specialising in the area you enjoy the most. It is important for Addcom IT staff to have a really strong foundation of all areas within IT as this makes for a better engineer going forwards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • A keen interest in IT
  • Must hold a full UK driving license and have a car or motor bike.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Server and device maintenance.
  • Answering the phone to customers.
  • Logging tickets with the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • First line triage and resolution of customer issues.
  • Establish and meet service level agreements with end users.
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
  • Commuting to customer sites as required.
  • Research into new IT processes and systems.
