Description About Vala’s Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25 food locations. The IT Area Manager is a professional position responsible for providing front-line technical support. Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Area Manager will take an active role in maintaining physical and field-based IT systems. This is a part time, hourly position. Evenings and weekends will be required during peak fall season. Requirements Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and maintain POS systems, printers, kiosks, menu boards, scanners, KDS systems, and related peripherals Set up devices pre-season and replace any defective devices, including processing RMAs Serve as the first point of contact for operational outages throughout the farm and escalate as appropriate Maintain network closets and equipment locations Assist with cable installation, termination, and minor network repairs Support deployment of switches, access points, and field devices under IT Manager direction Install and maintain cameras utilized on the farm Assist with end-of-season teardown Maintain inventory records of IT equipment and track device assignments Follow and enforce IT security and asset management policies Maintain SOPs Provide support and training for seasonal staff on devices and systems Support any new rollouts made throughout the season Escalate any complex issues to the IT Manager Monitor and manage IT support tickets throughout the season, including assignment, status updates, and timely resolution or escalation Purchase request preparation Requirements: Maintain clear verbal and written communication Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to use various forms of technology (laptop, tablet, cellphone) Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance Ability to work in variable weather conditions Ability to walk long distances across property Ability to climb ladders and access elevated equipment Benefits PTO after 90 days Paid sick time Amusement Perk Simple IRA eligible after 1 year Phone reimbursement Staff apparel allowance
