Position: IT Asset Engineer Experience: 2 – 4 years in IT Asset management Role Purpose The role is responsible for managing the organization’s IT assets throughout their lifecycle and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure support, end-user services, vendor coordination, and compliance with IT policies. Key Responsibilities * Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets (procurement, allocation, tracking, maintenance, and disposal)  * Maintain accurate records in asset management systems such as Jira or other ITAM tools  * Ensure asset tagging, inventory audits, and reconciliation are performed periodically  * Track and manage asset movement, ownership changes, and stock levels  * Coordinate with procurement and vendors for asset acquisition, warranty, and AMC tracking  * Implement and enforce IT asset policies and compliance controls  * Support internal and external audits by providing accurate asset data and documentation  * Monitor and report on asset utilization, aging, and depreciation in coordination with finance teams  * Handle asset recovery and loss cases in line with defined policies  * Drive process improvements and automation for asset tracking and reporting  * Collaborate with Service Desk (L1/L2) teams for asset allocation and incident resolution support    Required Skills & Competencies * Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and lifecycle management  * Experience with asset tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, or HAM etc.)  * Knowledge of hardware assets (laptops, desktops, peripherals, network devices)  * Basic understanding of software asset management (SAM) and licensing compliance  * Proficiency in Excel / reporting tools for asset tracking and analysis  * Strong attention to detail and documentation skills  * Good stakeholder management    GEDU Global Education is a dynamic and innovative group of education providers.
