JOB SUMMARY

  • The IT Asset Management Analyst ideal candidate is well-organized, productive, and able to multitask with limited supervision.
  • The Licensing and Asset Analyst assists with building and managing relationships with companies that supply products and services to the IT organization.
  • This position would help to maintain our license and asset counts, lead negotiation of prices where appropriate, interact with legal for approval on MSAs/SLAs, manage renewals and inventory, manage the warranty and support contracts, and work with various teams on reporting.
  • The licensing and Asset Analyst works under the direction of and reports to the Sr IT Asset Manager.
  • Identifies, investigates, analyzes and negotiates licensing opportunities to grant or receive permission to use intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents or technology.
  • Engages in the transfer, use, development, manufacture and marketing of intellectual property; may participate in contract negotiations for licensing opportunities.
  • Performs routine assignments as directed by the Sr IT Asset Manager.
  • Typically requires a college or university degree or the equivalent work experience and has conceptual knowledge of fundamental theories, principles and practices .
  • Has no discretion to vary from established procedures by performing structured work assignments. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
  • Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 year / Associate degree
  • 4 year/ Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3 plus year of experience working in Inventory Asset Management, including managing licensing and renewals for all hardware and software.
  • Ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while demonstrating teamwork and great communication; ability to manage projects independently with limited supervision.
  • Hands-on technical experience with inventory and asset management tool (Manage Engine Service Desk Plus preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft OS programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), NetSuite or similar ERP/CRM system.
  • Associates degree in business, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional interaction with all levels of the organization.
  • You must be authorized to work in the United States and some travel required.
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts research meant to identify potential licensing opportunities. Qualifies potential licensees and ensures that IP usage would be appropriate and in alignment with organizational messaging and strategy. Negotiates mutually beneficial licensing agreements and ensures ongoing compliance.
  • As Asset Management Analyst, you will collaborate with IT, Finance, and Business Units to provide data analytics and reporting.
  • Manage the relationships between Consumer Cellular IT and its hardware and software vendors.
  • Be the point of contact between other internal organizations (such as legal and finance) and IT
  • You will present demos to customers, collect financial and vendor data, and provide details back to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Aptitude to understand IT and customer business needs.
  • Gather critical information for data analysis and compliance review.
  • Analyze financial and vendor data and provide timely data insights.
  • Implement standards, procedures, and action items based on the data collected.
  • Effectively communicate your results within the department and to other team members
  • Ability to stay up to date and learn new technology in an ever changing, fast paced environment.
