Job Description About the Team KPMG’s Technology Risk and Cyber team is a nationally connected and fast-growing practice that helps organisations understand, prioritise and reduce complex technology and cyber risks. Within this practice, our IT Asset Management (ITAM) capability plays a critical role in helping clients govern, optimise, and maintain compliance across their technology assets throughout the entire lifecycle. You will join a collaborative, high-performing team working closely with KPMG’s global ITAM network and alliance partners such as ServiceNow, Flexera and Snow. This is a specialist and growing capability, where you will work alongside experienced practitioners delivering high-impact outcomes across a range of industries. Your Opportunity We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) Manager to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise ITAM tooling environments. This is a hands-on leadership role combining deep technical expertise with stakeholder engagement and team leadership. You will work directly with clients to deliver tailored ITAM solutions that improve asset visibility, strengthen compliance, and unlock value from technology investments. You will play a key role in scaling a niche and in-demand capability, contributing to both client delivery and the ongoing growth of KPMG’s ITAM offering. How are you Extraordinary Analytical problem-solving – able to interpret complex IT asset and licensing data, identify root causes, and drive outcomes Stakeholder influence – able to engage, challenge and partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Leadership & collaboration – able to guide teams, mentor others, and deliver outcomes in a collaborative environment Key Responsibilities Lead the technical design, implementation, and optimisation of ITAM tooling solutions (e.g. FlexeraOne, Snow Atlas, ServiceNow SAM/HAM Pro) Own ITAM platform architecture, configuration, and lifecycle management across complex environments Drive tool implementations, integrations, and upgrades across CMDB, discovery, procurement and financial systems Design and enhance software and hardware discovery processes, improving asset visibility and data quality Troubleshoot complex issues including discovery failures, data inconsistencies, and licensing discrepancies Establish standards, governance artefacts, and best practices for ITAM tooling environments Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, supporting capability uplift Engage with clients and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver tailored ITAM solutions Experience Prior experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) or Software Asset Management (SAM) is essential Strong hands-on experience with enterprise ITAM tools (e.g. FlexeraOne, Snow Atlas, ServiceNow SAM/HAM Pro) Proven experience leading ITAM tool implementations and managing complex environments Solid understanding of software licensing models (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP) and hardware asset lifecycles Experience designing and managing discovery solutions (agent-based, agentless, integrations, scripting) Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate asset data into actionable insights and decisions Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is highly regarded Experience leading or mentoring teams is beneficial, but not critical where strong technical expertise is demonstrated Qualifications Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Relevant certifications are highly regarded, such as: ITIL (Foundation or higher) Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) ServiceNow SAM/HAM certifications Flexera or Snow certifications Experience working in complex enterprise or regulated environments is desirable Additional Information KPMG is a professional services firm with global outreach and deep sector experience.
