Description

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Asset Manager within the Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) function is responsible for the oversight, governance, and lifecycle management of all IT assets across the organisation. This role ensures that hardware, software, and associated technologies are effectively tracked, maintained, to support operational efficiency and compliance. The role will also have line management responsibilities, providing leadership and direction to their team to ensure high standards of service and continuous improvement.
In addition, the IT Asset Manager will administer, develop, and maintain the Request Catalogue within ServiceNow, ensuring it remains accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with evolving business needs.
The asset management role is required to be based in Bootle to ensure direct and efficient access to physical assets, which are housed on-site. All existing asset managers operate from the office to enable hands-on inventory control, real-time issue resolution, and consistent collaboration. Locating the role within the office ensures alignment with established workflows, reduces delays caused by remote coordination, and supports secure handling of equipment. Centralising the role also maintains operational consistency and upholds accountability standards critical to effective asset lifecycle management.
Due to the nature of the work involved this role is only suitable for full time working.
