Description

The IT Asset Support Officer is responsible for the hands-on management of IT hardware assets across their lifecycle—from procurement and distribution to collection and disposal. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, supports stock control processes, and liaises with internal customers and external suppliers to maintain smooth operations.

  • Experience in IT support, logistics, or asset management.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to lift and transport IT equipment safely.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and reporting tools.

Responsibilities
  • Device Fulfilment & Distribution


    • Manually hand over approved computer orders to requestors.

    • Coordinate with requestors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of devices.
    • Asset Recovery & Disposal


      • Collect old or decommissioned devices for e-waste processing.

      • Transport devices to designated e-waste collection points (e.g., basement drop-off).
      • Inventory Management


        • Maintain accurate records of asset movements and status.

        • Conduct regular stock takes and update asset registers.
        • Prepare and submit weekly inventory and activity reports.
        • Logistics & Coordination


          • Retrieve devices from storerooms and prepare them for deployment or disposal.

          • Liaise with suppliers for deliveries, pickups, and issue resolution.
          • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement


            • Act as a point of contact for internal customers regarding device requests and returns.

            • Provide updates and support to stakeholders on asset-related queries.
