POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our IT team as an IT Assistant Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment while studying toward a recognised qualification. You will support the team in providing IT services across the organisation, learning essential skills in hardware, software, and network support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing first-line technical support to users, both in-person and remotely.
  • Help with the setup, configuration, and deployment of IT equipment including PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Support software installations, updates, and troubleshooting. * Log and track IT issues using the internal helpdesk system.
  • Learn to diagnose and resolve basic hardware and software problems.
  • Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access permissions. * Support the maintenance of IT asset records and inventories.
  • Learn about cybersecurity, data protection, and IT best practices. * Shadow and work alongside experienced IT professional to develop core technical and customer service skills Requirements:
  • A genuine interest in IT and technology.
  • Basic knowledge of computers, operating systems, and common applications. * Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred).
  • Eligible and committed to completing an IT Apprenticeship qualification.
