Join Our Team as an IT Assistant.
Bethany for Children & Families is looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy IT Assistant to keep our systems running smoothly and support staff across the agency. If you’re passionate about problem-solving, teamwork, and helping others, we’d love to meet you!
Salary: $20.00 - $21.63 Per hour

IT ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience as an IT Assistant, Help Desk Technician, or similar role
  • Knowledge of Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook 365, and Active Directory
  • Understanding of networks, routers, firewalls, and antivirus systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently or within a team
  • Meet all regulatory requirements for Child Welfare Agencies (background checks, CANTS/Iowa Registry clearance, DCFS driver certification if applicable)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

As our IT Assistant, you’ll be the go-to person for staff tech support and system upkeep.

Responsibilities include:

  • First-level tech support (phone, email, in-person)
  • Installing and maintaining hardware, software, and networks
  • Monitoring systems, backups, and security
  • Setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Training staff on proper use of equipment/software
  • Maintaining IT inventory and documentation
  • Coordinating with external IT firm on upgrades and projects
  • Supporting IT portions of onboarding new staff
  • Staying updated on industry trends and AI technology
  • Assisting with other operational support duties
