The IT Assistant Manager supports the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure and services. This role assists in managing the IT team, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and security systems while providing technical support to employees. The IT Assistant Manager also contributes to IT projects, vendor management, and compliance with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the IT Manager in overseeing daily IT operations and support services.
- Supervise and mentor IT support staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computer systems, servers, networks, and peripherals.
- Ensure the availability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system backups, disaster recovery processes, and business continuity plans.
- Coordinate software installations, upgrades, and system maintenance.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security policies.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including antivirus management, patching, and vulnerability mitigation.
- Work with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and technical support.
- Monitor IT inventory, software licenses, and asset management records.
- xperienced in managing and supporting ERP systems, including user administration, system configuration, troubleshooting, and report generation.
- Hands-on experience working in Government Transaction Centers, providing IT support for government services and digital platforms.
- Assisted in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of ERP applications to improve operational efficiency.
- Managed user accounts, access permissions, and system security in accordance with organizational policies.
- Coordinated with government departments, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth system operations.
- Resolved technical issues related to ERP applications, network connectivity, hardware, and software.
- Provided end-user training and technical support for ERP modules and government service applications.
- Maintained accurate documentation, system logs, and IT asset records.
- Monitored system performance, backups, and data integrity to ensure business continuity.
- Supported IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, printers, and network devices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience as an IT assisatnt Manager, systems administration, or infrastructure management.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking concepts
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
