Description The Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between Operations, IT, and business stakeholders, translating operational and system needs into clear functional requirements. This role focuses on WMS and ERP systems, leveraging SQL knowledge to validate data and supporting solution delivery through functional specifications, test cases, and user acceptance testing (UAT). The Business Analyst ensures system enhancements and process changes meet business objectives and operational requirements. Requirements Key Responsibilities Business & Systems Analysis Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements Analyze existing WMS and ERP workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities Translate business needs into clear, detailed functional specifications and process flows Support system enhancements, integrations, and configuration changes Functional Specifications & Documentation Create and maintain Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Process maps and workflows, Data mapping and field-level specifications Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, and testable Maintain change logs and version control for requirements documentation Testing & Validation Develop test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on functional requirements Execute and coordinate system testing, integration testing, and UAT Validate WMS, ERP, and reporting outputs using SQL queries and data analysis Track, document, and help resolve defects and gaps identified during testing Obtain business sign-off prior to production deployment Data & Reporting Support Use SQL to validate data accuracy, investigate issues, and support reporting needs Assist in defining KPIs and operational metrics Support data consistency across WMS, ERP, and downstream systems Cross-Functional Collaboration Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users Support training, documentation, and change management for new system functionality Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across operations and systems Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar) Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis Proven experience writing Functional specifications, Business requirements, and Test cases and test scripts Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience in warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, or 3PL environments Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, or data warehouse concepts Experience supporting multi-warehouse or multi-business unit operations Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or structured SDLC methodologies Experience with BI or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Work Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily office-based with occasional warehouse interaction Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer Occasional warehouse walkthroughs to validate system processes
