About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders to assess needs, provide advice on business process and IT service improvements, and ensure that solutions meet business requirements. You will play a key role in developing and implementing IT service improvements, evaluating solution options, and supporting project management.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interviewing skills.
  • ISEB Foundation in Business Analysis (or equivalent).
  • ISEB Certificate in Requirements Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in requirements modelling (e.g., UML, User Story mapping).
  • Experience with project and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with software developers and using Kanban boards.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience in Software Testing (especially UAT).
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess needs and current processes, providing advice on business process and IT service improvements.
  • Identify, analyse, document, and prioritize requirements using IT Project Office approved tools and techniques.
  • Work with solution architects and IT experts to identify and evaluate solution options, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Assess IT services and solutions for specific projects, providing assistance and advice on methods, tools, costs, risks, and benefits.
  • Assist in the development and review of business cases for proposed IT changes and projects.
  • Support the Project Manager and work closely with the software development team to ensure requirements are delivered to specification.
  • Advise on the implications of new initiatives, ideas, projects, and changes to existing IT services.
  • Provide business analysis expertise to deliver business requirements from a process, user, and system perspective.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Lead small to medium-sized projects in accordance with the IT Project Management process.
  • Produce system integration testing plans, undertake comprehensive testing, document results, and manage system testing.
  • Assist with the introduction of new IT services and solutions, providing guidance and training to users.
  • Define and share Business Analysis best practices, including requirements definition and management.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

  • Experience in facilities/asset management and on-site work orders.
  • Demonstrable business acumen and technology skills.
  • Skilled at structured problem solving and communicating solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience in a modern service-based, cloud-first organization.
  • Ability to identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods, measure and evaluate outcomes, and work to an agreed Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
  • Investigate problems and analyse options for new and existing products.
  • Analyse current products and processes, identify, and implement opportunities for optimization.
  • Apply a digital understanding to work and help implement digital solutions.
  • Elicit requirements and manage requests for changes to baseline requirements.
  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships, using evidence to explain decisions.
  • Identify and engage with users or stakeholders to collate user needs evidence and turn user understanding into desirable outcomes.
