JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role entails the deployment, technical administration and support of a wide variety of Business Applications, including engineering tools and other business applications.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Ability to operate independently with limited supervision.
  • Have sound understanding of Engineering methodologies including system integrations, web services and windows server management
  • Be an expert in business applications with a good understanding of installation and configuration of the following;
  • o Oracle Forms Application
  • o AIX System Administration
  • o Unix Script Maintenance
  • ASP – Active Server Pages
  • o Java development (Spring framework MVC preferred)
  • o Java Server Pages (JSP) & JavaScript (JS)
  • o REST/SOAP Web Services
  • o SQL / Oracle Database awareness
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge
  • Windows Application Packaging
  • Application Packaging
Responsibilities
  • Be an expert in business applications with a good understanding of installation and configuration in the wider Engineering environment and other functional disciplines, including offerings from a wide range of product vendors such as IBM, Dassault, Siemens & Mentor
  • Operate as the subject matter expert, providing professional advice and making recommendations to support business queries and requirements definition
  • For assigned business applications, self-sufficiently design and develop business process enhancing solutions using preferred tools.
  • Support established in-house developed solutions.
  • Provide advice on application configuration procedures and guidelines.
  • Add value to existing business processes and procedures by directly improving or highlighting opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with the business to analyse requirements.
  • Understand the business requirements and translate it into solution framework / architecture.
  • Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business.
  • Provide support for migration projects as and when required.
  • Deliver early life support for new solutions.
  • Work with business experts and technical resources to facilitate incident & problem resolution.
  • Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external standards for all solutions.
