IT Business Intelligence Developer Introduction about the Organization Elval is the aluminium rolling division of ElvalHalcor S.A. Key Accountabilities Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business requirements and KPIs Build intuitive, high-performance, and user-friendly visualizations following best practices in data storytelling and UX design Implement dynamic and advanced DAX calculations (measures, KPIs, time intelligence, complex business logic) Develop reusable and scalable semantic models, optimizing data structures for reporting performance and usability Optimize report performance using techniques such as aggregation tables, composite models, query folding, and efficient DAX patterns Translate business needs into well-structured report wireframes and prototypes, collaborating closely with business stakeholders Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS) to ensure proper access control and data confidentiality Manage Power BI workspace structure, report lifecycle (Dev/UAT/Prod), and deployment pipelines Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting for existing reports and dashboards Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data models are optimized for reporting needs (star schema, medallion alignment) Document report logic, data sources, transformations, and business rules to support maintainability and governance Support UAT processes, gather feedback, and iterate quickly on reporting solutions Migrate or redesign legacy reports (e.g., QlikSense, SAP BW) into modern Power BI solutions with improved usability and performance Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience Required qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering roles Fabric Expertise: Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Fabric production environments Power BI: Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and workspace administration Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Preferred & Nice-to-Have Skills QlikSense: Experience with QlikSense scripting, data modeling, or rewriting Qlik load scripts into SQL SAP Ecosystem: Familiarity with SAP BI, SAP BW, SAP HANA, or SAP ERP data structures Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600) or PL-300 DevOps: Experience with Git integration and CI/CD deployment pipelines within BI environments About the benefits Our Company provides a dynamic working environment, in which cooperation and continuous learning are encouraged and career development relates to performance.
