Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The IT Business Partner (ITBP) plays a strategic role in aligning technology solutions with business needs. This role ensures teams have the right tools — with no gaps — to operate efficiently and effectively. Acting as the bridge between functional teams and IT, the ITBP proactively identifies opportunities to streamline the tech stack, automate existing processes, eliminate redundancies, and champion scalable, user-friendly solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary point of contact between IT and assigned business units, understanding their needs, workflows, and pain points.
  • Audit current systems and tools to ensure there are no technology gaps and identify areas for improvement or consolidation.
  • Evaluate and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions that enhance team productivity and scalability.
  • Partner with IT leadership to drive consistency across the company’s tech stack — reducing fragmentation, overlap, and inefficiencies.
  • Lead discovery sessions with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align solutions with business priorities and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Security, and Legal to vet and implement new systems in compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor system usage and effectiveness; drive user adoption through training, support, and change management.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of emerging technologies and SaaS trends to inform future strategies.
  • Work with Business teams to leverage AI to create efficiency gains and reduce work load.
  • Experience leveraging AI and automation to transform business processes with a value driven approach.
