Location: Oakdale, South Wales (with regular travel to other UK sites Aberbeeg and Blaina)
Hours: Full-time - 39 hours per week
Days: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm * Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm

About the role:
We’re looking for a proactive and forward-thinking IT & Business Systems Lead to coordinate our internal IT operations and support the development of systems across the business. This is a key role in a growing company, focused on ensuring day-to-day IT continuity, delivering improvement projects, and supporting the alignment of technology with operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coordination
- Provide day-to-day oversight for a small internal team (Business Systems Analyst and 1st Line Support) * Act as the primary contact for our external IT support provider * Support the development of IT and business systems strategies
- Oversee internal helpdesk activity and ensure timely resolution of IT issues * Coordinate IT onboarding/offboarding and user access across systems * Maintain GDPR compliance and manage routine IT risk
- Identify and deliver system improvements, integrations, and process automation * Collaborate with department heads to understand operational needs and propose solutions * Support implementation of new tools and practices that drive efficiency
- Coordinate delivery of small-to-medium-scale IT and systems projects * Track and manage software licensing, hardware lifecycle, and IT budgeting * Assist with vendor communication and support procurement processes
- Stay informed of relevant technology trends * Evaluate new tools and make recommendations to support ongoing business improvement
Person Specification:
Essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business systems, IT support, or analyst role within a fast-paced environment * Experience supervising or coordinating a small team
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems integration, and user support * Hands-on experience managing outsourced IT providers
- Track record of delivering improvement projects or systems changes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Analytical, organised, and proactive with a logical approach to problem-solving
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport, with flexibility to travel between UK sites.
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Computing, Information Systems, or a related field
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, or multi-site environments
- Experience with ERP systems, business intelligence tools, or cloud-based platforms

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
