IT Chapter Lead – Design & Integration Tech BE Customer & Data – HR, Finance & Reporting Location: Brussels (50% remote flexibility) Hiring Manager: Raquel Clemente Recruiter: Turan Ozkan Team Members: Etienne Vellemans, An-Sophie De Schutter, Valerie Deblende, Daniel Varlan About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking IT Chapter Lead to lead the design and integration of IT features across our HR, Finance & Regulatory Reporting domain. This is a key leadership role focused on delivering high-performing, secure, and scalable solutions that meet business needs and align with ING’s global architecture and platform standards. You’ll be part of a dynamic engineering team that builds and runs a critical IT landscape using technologies like Java, .NET, ELT ODI, SAS, and ERP Peoplesoft, alongside a wide range of SaaS applications. Our work supports essential business processes across HR, Finance, Risk, and Procurement. What You’ll Do Delivery Leadership - Lead a chapter of Business Analysts, IT Integrators, and Software Design Engineers, fostering engineering excellence and collaboration. - Facilitate solution design reviews and impact analysis through the Solution Authority Board. - Act as a bridge between business teams, architects, developers, and QA. - Stay ahead of tech trends and help shape the future of our IT landscape. - Build domain knowledge in HR, Finance, and Reporting. - Partner with Road Managers and Product Owners to plan and deliver initiatives. People & Chapter Management - Drive performance and capability development across your chapter. - Recognize and grow top talent, address underperformance early. - Mentor and coach engineers technically and professionally. - Manage recruitment, onboarding, and team composition. - Oversee external resource management (onshore/offshore), balancing delivery and budget. - Align resource planning with squad needs in close collaboration with your IT Area Lead, Road Manager, and Tribe Lead. Technical Expertise - Proven experience with Java, ETL, and ERP technologies. - Solid understanding of Finance business processes. - Familiarity with DevOps practices, especially Azure DevOps. - Knowledge of ING’s architecture and frameworks is a plus. Personal Profile - Seasoned people manager with strong communication skills. - Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus. - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related fields. - Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn. - Strong stakeholder engagement and business acumen.
