ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a seasoned commercial professional with a passion for technology and a talent for negotiation? Do you excel at forging strong vendor relationships and optimising value? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an IT Commercial Manager.
In this critical role, you’ll be at the forefront of managing and optimising our IT vendor landscape, directly aligning it with our business strategy and needs. You’ll own the entire IT vendor lifecycle, from strategic identification and selection to contract negotiation, relationship management, and performance optimisation. This isn’t just about cost savings; it’s about ensuring our IT spend is efficient, effective, and drives our strategic objectives, all while building mutually beneficial partnerships with key technology providers.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Vendor Management & Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with key IT vendors, ensuring they meet performance expectations and deliver mutual value. You’ll monitor SLAs, track KPIs, and proactively resolve any issues
  • Commercial Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead the end-to-end commercial lifecycle for all IT contracts, including complex negotiations for software licenses, cloud services, and managed services. You’ll establish robust contract management frameworks and identify significant cost efficiencies
  • Strategic Sourcing: Drive the identification and selection of IT vendors that perfectly align with our company and IT strategy, leveraging your understanding of the energy/utilities sector vendor landscape
  • Capability Growth: Play a key role in growing our IT vendor management capability, improving processes, and strengthening governance within the team
