Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

An IT Security Program Analyst supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT security projects within an organization. This role involves analyzing security data, reporting on security metrics, and assisting with the coordination of security initiatives to ensure they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The IT Security Program Analyst works closely with security managers and other stakeholders to provide insights and support decision-making.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of security project plans and schedules.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on security data and metrics.
  • Identify and communicate potential security risks and issues.
  • Support security teams with administrative and coordination tasks.
  • Prepare and present security status reports to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to security process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate on vulnerability assessment and remediation efforts to ensure the security of systems, networks, and applications.
  • Perform vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, prioritization, and coordination activities, such as scheduling, conducting, and regularly reviewing vulnerability scans.
  • Analyze key risks and coordinate remediation efforts with remediation teams across the organization.
  • Action and lead response strategies and provide relevant reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to drive remediation activities.
  • Support the enforcement of established Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate policy exception handling.
  • Collaborate with the security scanning and detection team to prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk factors and develop remediation plans.
  • Track and monitor the progress of remediation efforts to ensure timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Stay abreast of the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, integrating threat intelligence into vulnerability assessment processes.
  • Provide support to incident response teams during security incidents.
  • Generate regular reports on vulnerability management activities, including scan results, remediation progress, and key performance indicators.
  • Familiarity with attack and exploitation techniques involving operating systems, applications, and devices commonly seen in an enterprise environment.
  • Support Application Owners with remediation tasks such as running application updates, if needed.
  • Provide training, informational, and educational materials to impacted employees and teams.
