Description

We are seeking a highly experienced IT Consultant II to support enterprise cloud architecture, application modernization, and Azure-based development initiatives. This role will play a key part in designing scalable cloud solutions, migrating legacy systems, and driving adoption of modern technologies including AI. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Strategy (30%) Design and coordinate both solution architecture and cloud infrastructure architecture on Microsoft Azure Develop and support cloud adoption strategies aligned with enterprise standards Innovation & Emerging Technologies (10%) Partner with the CTO and program office to evaluate and integrate new technologies, including AI tools and platforms Application Development & Deployment (50%) Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise applications and shared components to Microsoft Azure Lead modernization efforts, including migration of legacy .NET applications to cloud-native environments Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship (10%) Provide training and technical guidance to monitoring teams and application developers Promote best practices across development and DevOps teams Required Qualifications Azure & Cloud Expertise 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure 7+ years designing cloud architecture and adoption strategies 5+ years developing and maintaining Azure cloud-native applications 5+ years experience migrating .NET applications to Azure DevOps & CI/CD 5+ years implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure 5+ years working with Azure DevOps, including sprint planning leadership Software Development (.NET) 10+ years developing applications using .NET (C# preferred) 8+ years architecting enterprise .NET systems 5+ years with .NET Core (2.0+) Experience building enterprise-level components/libraries Frontend Development 10+ years experience with Angular (v10+), TypeScript, Bootstrap Experience with testing frameworks (Jasmine, Karma or similar) Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, MVC Database & ORM 10+ years working with relational databases (MS SQL preferred, Oracle acceptable) 5+ years with ORM tools (Entity Framework preferred) Development Practices 5+ years in Agile environments (TFS or equivalent) 5+ years with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and test automation Experience leading teams through full SDLC (analysis → deployment) Security & AI Experience with GitHub Advanced Security Exposure to AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI agents Nice to Have Experience working on large-scale enterprise or government systems Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
