POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Contracts Analyst supports the procurement and contract administration processes for IT-related goods and services. This role assists with vendor research, contract documentation, and procurement efforts while ensuring compliance and efficiency throughout the contract lifecycle. Working under IT Contracts Leadership, the analyst will collaborate with internal teams and vendors, gaining valuable experience in IT contracting, vendor management, and public procurement practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with basic contract terms and purchasing principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn procurement systems, contract platforms, and IT terminology.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, follow directions, and work collaboratively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in Business Administration, IT, Public Administration, or a related field, with 6 months–2 years of experience in procurement, contract support, vendor coordination, or a related administrative.
    Necessary Special Requirements: Ability to obtain and retain an OITS Security and KCJIS clearances are requirement of employment and continued employment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the contract lifecycle by maintaining records, renewals, amendments, and documentation in a central repository.
  • Prepare contract summaries and communicate key provisions to stakeholders.
  • Collect and organize data on vendor performance, compliance, and procurement timelines.
  • Perform market research and assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other procurement processes.
  • Review vendor proposals, coordinate presentations or demonstrations, and support due diligence activities.
  • Assist with procurement documentation, prior authorizations, and draft communications.
  • Monitor vendor compliance and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, finance, and business units to align procurement with organizational goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
